BASIC INFO

CHARACTER NAME: Sha Gojyo
CHARACTER CANON: Saiyuki

CURRENT STATUS: Lost, Confused, And Able To Jump Literally Into Puddles
INVENTORY:
● Gojyo’s Shakujo - A large metal staff with a fan like blade on one side and a crescent shape blade on the other. The crescent piece is attached to the staff by a retractable chain within the staff itself and can work as a chain and sickle. In the manga it is a cursed artifact that attached itself to Gojyo after he broke a pot in the Buddhist temple he was helping clean. Because of that it would be able to appear and disappear at the users command and the sickle-and-chains direction was able to be controlled in an almost telepathic manner. Sure enough to say, his mental connections with the weapon have all but vanished upon his arrival here.
● A Large Pack of Hi-Lite Brand Cigarettes - Being both A Traveler And An Avid Chain-Smoker, Gojyo constantly keeps a large amount of his favorite brand of cigarettes on him at all times. Too many times had he learned to buy in bulk due to running out without a town in sight in regard to his travels.
● Zippo Brand Lighter - And what are cigarettes without his trusty refillable Zippo lighter? A small metal refillable lighter. A plain silver color with no real notable designs on it.
● Pack Of Playing Cards - Besides being a chain smoker he is also an avid gambler. His game of choice? Poker. Because of that he always has a pack of cards on him. He uses this system of gambling as a way to make a living as he is not really well known at being able to keep a real job.
● Mahjong Set - His second game of choice, and something he takes up more amicably, is Mahjong. He knows the rules in and out and is always happy to teach others on how to play along.
● A couple magazines and videos of a more unsavory nature - Going with his playboy persona, it is well known in the manga that Gojyo was not afraid to stash some of his more illicit reading and watching materials amongst the rest of the groups packing supplies.

YOUKAI INFO

YOUKAI: Amabie
Name: Unabara No Akari (海原の灯)

MASK APPEARANCE: A blue mask with large black eye designs. The front of the mask seem to have various blue and violet iridescent scales, the bottom of it jutting out into a curved duck-like beak. From the sides blue feathers protrude, giving a fin-like appearance.

ABILITIES: Breathing water, luck through occasional manipulation of his surroundings, natural combative skill with his staff, survival knowledge, street smart

CHANGES: There is slight webbing between his fingers and toes and light blue scales along his neck and down his back, covering his shoulder, the backs of his arms, and the outside of his upper thighs. He also has blue fin-like ears and gills that go down his neck and along his ribs respectively

IC PERMISSIONS

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Gojyo is canonically called a 'loose-man' on multiple occasions. I assure you he is a large fan of physical affection.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He is also a guy who was raised on the streets and only knows how to survive through fighting. As he progresses in his canon series his body count continues to grow more and more obnoxious. And out of all the main characters he is described as having the 'messiest' fighting style, especially when his Shakujo comes into play. So yeah, violence is fine.

RELATIONSHIPS/SEX: As stated above he is a fan of physical affection especially physical affection of a more promiscuous nature. It will be a little harder to get him into a relationship though. He has issues with commitment and due to his own emotional traumas never really understands concepts such as love past a familial or amiable level.

MEDICAL INFO: Young and strapping, Gojyo is tall at 6"1' and lean at 160 lbs. Despite his skinny stature he is fairly well toned though and is quite proud of his body. His body is littered with small scars due to years of living on the streets but the most prominent are the two large slash marks disfiguring his left cheek.

Medically, he is an anomaly and one of the few of his kind. You see Gojyo is what's called a 'Hanyou' or taboo child in his world. It is someone with mixed blood between both human and youkai, a half-breed. This is why his hair and eyes have an almost unnaturally bright red color to them. As well as the fact that he is just naturally strong and durable, you may also notice his eyelashes being far thicker and longer than any normal human, his nails slightly more pointed and his teeth slightly sharper. There is also a tatoo-like marking on the back of his neck that looks almost like a gourd. This is his youkai-symbol, a marking that points out his being youkai.

MENTAL INFO: Gojyo is a bit of a mental anomaly. Overall emotionally stable and quite healthy a few traumas from a bad childhood have left him unable to be considered completely emotionally healthy. He's aggressive due to a lifetime living on the streets. He also unable to form healthy attachments to people due to a troubled family life. Due to his heritage and he has a deep subconscious self-loathing which he projects through an unhealthy lifestyle. He also has a bad habit of risking himself quite easily for anyone who he happens to like. Although he will fight and give everything his all to live to the fullest extent he can, he is naturally self-defeatist.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Considering who his friends are in canon it's pretty apparent that there is very little that offends Gojyo. But in terms of triggers Gojyo will 100% go agro the moment he sees or hears anything about someone who's being abused or left in a defenseless situation. Doubly so if that person happens to be a woman or child.

ANYTHING ELSE: Saiyuki is a series that deals with a lot of deep and dark subject matters, and because of this topics of much more mature themes are bound to pop up. With Gojyo such topics consist of child abuse, incest, pedophilia, matricide, substance abuse, mass-murder, fantasy racism and sexwork.
